A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Hello Active Brothers and Potential New Members,
On behalf of all of the brothers of the Omega Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at Pepperdine University, I would like to formally welcome you to our chapter. As a part of the oldest and largest professional co-ed Business Fraternity in the world, our chapter prioritizes strong brotherhood and unity and a commitment to professional development.
Our organization prides itself on our diversity and inclusion, both in background and in thought. Besides having brothers of different cultures from all around the nation, we are also home to over 15 majors, including Business Administration, Biology, and Screen Arts. This diversity allows us to have an extensive alumni network represented at top companies, such as Facebook, Citibank, Uber, EY, Kaiser Permanente, and so many more!
I joined Alpha Kappa Psi my first semester at Pepperdine, Fall 2018, and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Looking back, I can see an immense transformation, both professionally and personally. This chapter has provided invaluable experiences to work in a collaborative environment, a safe space to fail, open leadership positions early in my college career, and a complete rehaul of my professional skills. Despite helping me grow professionally, the most valuable takeaway from this chapter is our brotherhood. My brothers have supported me during my darkest times and celebrated me at my brightest. I genuinely do not know where I would be without this chapter and the people within it because they have taught me to lead with purpose.
With that being said, I challenge you to join us during these difficult times. We have all been through a lot and had to overcome many hurdles in 2020 and continue to do so in 2021, but you can take ownership of your own personal and professional development today. From starting as a curious Potential New Member to currently leading the Omega Epsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi as President, I have seen myself grow into a more confident, driven individual.
So, what do you say? Will you join us and challenge yourself to reap the rewards?
In U & I
WHAT IS ALPHA KAPPA PSI
Alpha Kappa Psi is the world's oldest and largest professional business fraternity. Established in 1904, the Founding Fathers, also known as the "Brooklyn Four," created an association founded on the principles of educating its members and the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals in business and to further the individual welfare of members during college and beyond.
Since then, the fraternity has expanded to include over 250,000 lifetime members from 216 chapters throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Canada. Recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders, Alpha Kappa Psi continuously strives to build a strong bond of brotherhood and foster lifelong learning amongst its members.
Alpha Kappa Psi focuses on providing ethical leadership and professional development. Through educational programs, community service, and hands-on-application of formal education, Alpha Kappa Psi students use the business skills they are taught in the classroom to acquire life skills such as the art of compromise, consensus building, project management, interviewing, and networking.
OUR CORE VALUES
Trust, respect, cooperation, companionship and aid to brothers is the expected norm.
Education and experience is emphasized and shared.
Sharing of time, talent, and treasure with society and with our fraternity is a priority.
A common understanding of our vision and values that transcends chapter, generation, and profession is utilized to anticipate and create the future.
All actions, whether in business or in life, are guided by honesty, ethics, and fairness.
At Alpha Kappa Psi, we encourage diversity and inclusion and thus invite all majors. We fundamentally believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to fulfill their unique personal and career goals. Today, our Omega Epsilon Brother and Alumni network span a wide array of influential companies, as seen below.
