  • What sets Alpha Kappa Psi apart from other organizations?
As the largest co-ed business fraternity, we have a vast network of professionals who emphasize diversity and inclusion. This is a community you will feel you belong in and grow with.
  • What majors does Alpha Kappa Psi accept?
Alpha Kappa Psi welcomes students of all majors who are passionate about business, leadership, professionalism, and personal growth. We value diversity and encourage individuals from a wide range of disciplines to bring their unique perspectives to the organization.
  • What is Rush?
During the Rush week, potential new members can learn about Alpha Kappa Psi's values, activities, and members. Events focus on professional development and networking. Attending at least 3 of the 5 events will allow for a bid interview. After interviews, selected individuals are invited to join in what is called a "Pledge" process.
  • What is Pledging?
Pledging is a 7-week professional development period where potential members as "pledges" are contested upon. They will engage in a variety of activities that will improve them as a professional at the end of the road. It's also a time for pledges to bond together with the common goal of "crossing over".
  • What determines who gets a pledge invitation?
We assess candidates based on their leadership potential, teamwork abilities, professionalism, and their openness to growth. Additionally, we take into account social compatibility and how well candidates align with the values and members of our organization.
  • Can I rush again if I do not get an invitation to pledge first time?
Of course! If you weren’t invited this time, we encourage you to participate in rush during a future semester. We deeply appreciate personal growth and look forward to the chance to meet with you again.
  • How many pledges are accepted each semester?
The number of pledges accepted vary from semester to semester. We always give a fair chance to everyone who decide to rush, as long as we see potential growth and compatibility in them.
  • Can I pledge for Alpha Kappa Psi if I'm a member of a social fraternity or sorority?
Yes, as long as you are not part of another professional fraternity at Pepperdine University, you can be a member of both Alpha Kappa Psi and another social fraternity/sorority
